A Final Judgment

Some religions warn followers about “The Last Judgment,” using fear to force their adherents to accept their teachings and its version of acceptable behavior.
Here is ACIM’s final judgment from The Manual For Teachers Number 15, “Is Each One To be Judged is the End?” It offers comfort and love.

Holy are you, eternal, free and whole, at peace forever in the Heart of God. Where is the world, and where is sorrow now?

Few sets of words could be more helpful for all of us during our days here is this world! Of Course (pun intended) the sentence refers to our reality in Heaven.

The Manual For Teachers section begins by answering the question posed by its title, “Is Each One To be Judged is the End?” with this succinct answer, “Indeed, yes!” Then we are led to the final sentence of the first paragraph (in italics above).

First though we need to accept that in this world we don’t believe that we are holy, eternal, free and whole. Our ego erects barriers to our remembering this truth about our true reality. The way to counter the ego’s nonsense is to quietly stand back from the world and listen in stillness to the Holy Spirit. Its message will be of extended love.

During this Christmas season in which advertised induced gift buying dominates our consciousness recognize it for what it has become: an ego induced distraction from our true reality where we can know this.

Holy are you, eternal, free and whole, at peace forever in the Heart of God. Where is the world, and where is sorrow now?

The Section ends with this admonition. “It is your function to hold it in your heart, and offer it to all the world and to keep it safe.”

With each gift we contemplate this season make it fit within the above concept. Give more thought about the love we wish to extend with giving. Let go of worry about money and feel good about Christmas.
